About the Opportunity

• Review and validate the proposed domain controller migration approach before implementation.
• Provide remote senior technical oversight during the migration via screen share.
• Support the Johnson Controls IT team while they create and configure the new Windows Server 2019 VM.
• Validate promotion of the new server to a domain controller.
• Review Active Directory and DNS configuration and migration steps.
• Validate replication and applicable domain controller role transfers.
• Support troubleshooting if issues arise during the change.
• Confirm appropriate validation has been completed before the legacy Windows Server 2012 domain controller is demoted and decommissioned.
• Provide guidance around rollback/recovery if required.
• Act as a technical advisor rather than primary implementer.
